Amazing and generous breakfast with lots of options, quaint and clean place. Appetising food, very good service. Late check-out. Incredible and brilliant location within walking distance of Rye Castle Museum. Short walk to town centre and restaurant areas.

The room was stylish with toiletries, nice shower facilities, for instance and safety measures included smoke detectors.

comfortable and good value
Something went wrong with our order at dinner on the first night and it took 2 hours for a lamb chop to arrive! Also, breakfast should be served earlier than 8.30 am given that we were all golfing earlier than that

Quirky. Very good breakfast, local and home made produce. Rye is an interesting place.
Room was small, but was advertised as such. Little sound insulation between rooms......the guest next door snored! The window was single glazed and did not seal well so there was a lot of street noise.

Lovely warm welcome to this very charismatic inn. Room was comfy with funky design and great little extras. Breakfast was superb. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes a bit olde worldy comfort mixed with some funky quirkiness.
Could have squeezed in a slightly wider double bed but not a big deal.

Whilst being an historic building (and the bar/restaurant retains this atmosphere), the bedrooms were decorated in a quirky, contemporary style. There were special little thoughtful touches, unique to the Inn, which has a very relaxed, friendly style. We were very impressed indeed by the hard-working, cheerful and helpful staff throughout our stay; nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent at breakfast with unusual menu offerings as well as the traditional. We also enjoyed a super dinner in their restaurant. This is not a luxury Inn, the rooms have bare-painted floorboards, the style eclectic, maybe a little spartan but we liked the cleanliness of our room (No. 9), the fluffy white towels and the feather/down pillows and duvet! A great weekend stay...
The only small complaint maybe was that our mattress could have been a little more comfortable and the bed was very squeaky!

Excellent food; cheery staff; beautifully-presented rooms.
Our room was quite noisy as it was directly over the kitchens. The extractor fan was especially annoying.
